Above is a portion of the sketches I’m working on for a painting that I begin working on tonight. Sometimes, I tend to forego the sketching stage and go right for the paintbrush. And almost always, I regret this decision.
Planning is a stage of life that I really don’t enjoy. It takes time away from actually doing the stuff that you’re planning to do. But it’s something that I need to learn to appreciate more. Because the end results are usually more thoughtful, more put together, and just… better.
